Analiștii sunt în domeniul „cunoașterii”. Inteligența se referă la cunoaștere, iar tipurile de probleme abordate sunt probleme de cunoaștere. Deci, avem nevoie de un concept de muncă bazat pe cunoștințe. Avem nevoie de o înțelegere de bază a ceea ce știm și cum știm, ceea ce nu știm și chiar ceea ce poate fi cunoscut și ceea ce nu este cunoscut.
