The terms of use below describe your rights and responsibilities as a member of the Intelligence Info community, if you are a creator or buyer of content, as well as our rights and responsibilities as the owner of the Intelligence Info site. Please note that use of the site, or of the tools or services accessed on the site implies acceptance of this membership agreement and all its terms. Online store

The online store is owned and managed by SC MultiMedia SRL. It includes free open access access to individual articles in HTML format and free download of individual articles and summaries of all digital issues of the magazine in PDF format.

In the case of an online payment, MultiMedia is not responsible for the costs resulting from the use of a bank card or PayPal account.

Payment methods

Digital books can be purchased using the following payment methods

  • By card, through specific secure banking applications (EuPlatesc, MobilePay, PayPal, etc.)

Digital books will be delivered by email. Printed books will be delivered by courier, and their payment can be made via

  • Cash on delivery, with payment upon receipt of the package.

Products sold through the online store

We offer for sale exclusively books and magazines, in printed format as well as in digital format (PDF, EPUB, and MOBI for Kindle readers).

Books and magazines in digital format can be purchased by any natural or legal person in the world, with prior payment of the price. Books in digital format can be delivered by email, or with a download link, to any natural or legal person in the world.

Printed books can be purchased by any natural or legal person in the world. The recipient of the purchased printed books can only be a natural or legal person with a destination address in Romania. Shipping costs are borne by the recipient.

The warranty for books and magazines sold through our store is 12 months.

In the case of digital books, the customer can request all subsequent updates of these products free of charge.

Prices and transaction currencies

The price for each product is automatically displayed depending on the buyer’s browser, in lei, euros or dollars. The currency can be changed manually by the buyer. The currency exchange rate is periodically changed depending on the exchange rate. If this currency conversion is not made directly on the product page, MultiMedia is not responsible for the currency exchange rate established by the intermediary of the financial transaction.

Product delivery

In the case of digital products, the delivery time is one day from receipt of the order. Delivery is made by email or, if not possible, by sending a download link by email, usually available for 7 days. There are no shipping costs for digital products.

Physical products (printed books and magazines) are sent to the destination address specified by the buyer by courier. The maximum deadline for handing over the package to the courier is 3 days from receipt of the order. The costs of the transport service (courier) will be paid to the courier upon receipt of the package.

Physical products are delivered exclusively to destination addresses in Romania.

Return of purchased products

Any product purchased from our online store can be returned, without any justification (although it would help us to know the reasons for the return), within 30 days from the date of the order, under the following conditions:

  • When returning the price paid, the costs related to financial transactions will be retained.
  • The product must not be damaged by the buyer.

Privacy policy

The privacy policy is established by MultiMedia on a separate page.

The data requested during the payment operation are necessary for sending the product to the indicated recipient, for contacting the recipient or the payer in certain situations, and for invoicing the payment made.

Contract with members and users of the Intelligence Info website

Before using the Intelligence Info website or contacting SC MultiMedia SRL (hereinafter referred to as MultiMedia) to create an account, please read the following contractual terms (“Terms”) carefully. These terms govern your access (“Beneficiary”) to the use of the website and the services offered and/or operated by MultiMedia (“Site”). Access to and use of the website are expressly conditioned on your acceptance and compliance with these terms. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Site.

The Terms also include terms and conditions applicable to specific services and/or options. Such additional terms and conditions (“Additional Terms”) will be posted separately. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and the Additional Terms, the Additional Terms shall prevail.

We reserve the right to revise all or part of these Terms, the Site, at any time, including by removing or suspending any content or features of the Site, and changing any fees or charges for use of the Site. All changes we make will be effective immediately upon posting and notifying you by any means, including, without limitation, posting on the Site or by email. Your continued use of the Site after such notice will be deemed acceptance of such changes. Please check this page periodically to review the most current version of these Terms. You agree that we will not be liable to you or any third party for any removal or suspension of any content or feature of the Site; or any change in fees or prices.

Registration

When and if you set up your account with Intelligence Info and register to use the Site, you agree (a) to provide accurate, current and complete information about yourself as prompted (including your email address), and (b) to maintain and update the information (including your email address) to keep it accurate, current and complete. You agree that if any information you provide is false, inaccurate, or incomplete, (1) you may not claim a lack of notice regarding communications we attempted to send you, which could materially affect your rights under the Terms and (2) we reserve the right to terminate your access to and use of the Site. Our Privacy Policy governs our use and disclosure of any information you provide.

We may refuse to create a user account for you for any reason, in our sole discretion, including if we determine that the username impersonates someone else, is illegal, vulgar, or otherwise offensive, or is protected by trademark or other proprietary rights, or is likely to cause confusion. YOU WILL BE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CONFIDENTIALITY OF YOUR USERNAME AND PASSWORD, AND FOR ANY ACTIVITY (INCLUDING PURCHASES, IF ANY) THAT OCCUR THROUGH YOUR ACCOUNT.

Use

Subject to and conditioned upon your compliance with these terms and only for as long as MultiMedia permits access to the Site, we grant you the right and non-exclusive license to access the Site, including any text, images, graphics, video, pictures, sounds, data, files, links and other materials incorporated into the Site (other than your content), solely made available by us, only as necessary to access the Site and solely for your own purposes, provided that you keep intact all copyright and proprietary rights under the license. You acknowledge and agree that certain features of the Site may include advertisements and that such advertisements are a necessary part of the Site. The Site, including all such materials, as well as all intellectual property rights, remain the property of MultiMedia or its licensors or suppliers, except for the articles and related materials which remain the exclusive property of the authors. From time to time, technical or maintenance problems may occur that render the Site temporarily unavailable. MULTIMEDIA DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL FUNCTION WITHOUT INTERRUPTIONS OR ERRORS, OR THAT THE SITE WILL FIT THE USER’S PURPOSE. MultiMedia may change the features, availability, operation, and/or appearance of the Site at any time and in any way from time to time, without notice to users.

By using the Site, you agree to comply with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations, and the rights and dignity of others. While using the Site, you agree not to:

  • Defame, abuse, harass, stalk, threaten or otherwise violate the rights of others, including privacy rights or copyrights;
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or represent them without having the right to do so;
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations;

Content

ARTICLE AUTHORS ASSUME ENTIRE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE CONTENT OF ARTICLES SUBMITTED FOR PUBLICATION, INCLUDING PERMISSION TO QUOTE OR TRANSLATE ARTICLES BY OTHER AUTHORS.

You will retain ownership and responsibility for any content and other materials (collectively, “Content”) that you upload to the Site or submit to us for publication. You must own all necessary rights to the content you upload, and the content must not infringe, misappropriate, use, or disclose without authorization any intellectual property or proprietary right of a third party, and must not be unlawful, fraudulent, threatening, abusive, libelous, defamatory, or obscene. MultiMedia may provide a copy of these terms to anyone claiming copyright/trademark infringement by your content or to law enforcement agencies as required by law.

You acknowledge and agree that we may (but are not obligated to) do any of the following, in our sole discretion: (a) monitor and/or filter any Content (including, but not limited to, blocking or replacing obscene language or other language that may be considered harmful or offensive); (b) modify, remove or refuse to transmit or use any Content (including, but not limited to, suspending the processing and shipping of any order for any Content); and/or (c) disclose any Content, as well as the circumstances under which it was posted, to any third party, for our protection, the protection of those with whom we collaborate, or to comply with legal obligations or governmental requests.

MultiMedia is not responsible for, and shall have no liability for, the removal or failure to remove any Content from the Site. We recommend that you keep backup copies of the content on your hard drive or other personal system, as the Site is not intended to be a back-up solution for storing content.

MultiMedia reserves the right to delete content from the database after a defined period of time, as it sees fit.

Open Access

This is an Open Access journal, which means that all content is available free of charge and without charge to users or their institutions. Users are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search or link to the full texts of the articles or use them for any other lawful purpose, without seeking prior permission from the publisher or author. This is in accordance with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) definition of open access.

Forums and discussion groups

The Site may allow users to share their content with other users, including, but not limited to, user comments, forums, discussion groups, and blogs (collectively, “Forums”). Some Forum participants may use anonymous, visible names and may not be affiliated with MultiMedia. Forum participants may occasionally post messages or make statements, intentionally or unintentionally, that are inaccurate, misleading, and provide content that may be objectionable. We do not monitor and are not responsible for such messages, statements, or content, or any opinions, advice, information, or other statements made or displayed on the Site by third parties, whether such third parties are users of the Site or others. The opinions expressed in the Forums reflect solely the opinions of the participants and may not necessarily reflect the opinions of MultiMedia. If you wish to purchase products or services through the Site, all information you provide or must be accurate, current and complete. YOU REPRESENT AND WARRANT THAT YOU HAVE THE LEGAL RIGHT TO USE THE CREDIT CARD OR OTHER PAYMENT MEANS USED FOR PURCHASES. You agree to pay all charges incurred by you or any user of your account and your credit card (or other applicable payment mechanism) at the prices in effect when such charges are incurred. MultiMedia protects copyrights and expects users of the site to do the same. Authors of articles own full copyrights to the submitted materials. Copyright holders who believe that materials appearing on the Site infringe their copyrights in accordance with the law may appeal. If you believe that your work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, or that your intellectual property rights have been violated in any way, please provide the following information:

Publication

MultiMedia will promote the author and/or the author’s content along with the general promotion of the articles in the online magazine.

Special, favorable exposure of books and articles is subject to a separate agreement with MultiMedia, depending on the request.

You are responsible to any third party or authorities for the payment of royalties, fees, taxes, etc., that may be due to them, based on the agreements you have made with a third party and the applicable law.

Termination

MultiMedia may at any time immediately terminate, and for any reason, this agreement and/or your access to and use of the Site or any part thereof. You agree that any termination of access to or use of the Site may be effected without prior notice, and that we may immediately disable or delete your password and username, as well as all related information and files associated therewith (including all content), and/or block access to such information or files. You agree that we will not be liable to you or any third party for any termination of access to the Site or any such information or files, and we are not obligated to make such information or files available to you after any such termination.

Cancellation

You may choose to withdraw your content published on Intelligence Info at any time. In such case, the content will no longer be visible to other users. Retired Content will be deleted from the database after a defined period of time, depending on the law.

You have the right to cancel your membership from your profile page, or by contacting us in writing or by email with this request.

Restrictions

If you purchase content from the Site (including receiving free content), you agree to the following restrictions with respect to such purchased content and the information contained therein:

  • You may not resell content, derive profit from it, or publish it, in writing or electronically, if the license of the respective content does not permit such action;

MultiMedia’s headquarters, including control and supervision of the Site, is in Bucharest, Romania. You agree that any dispute that cannot be resolved through good faith negotiations will be subject to the laws of Romania. The venue for dispute resolution will be Bucharest, Romania.

The terms regarding the waiver of warranties, limitations of liability, indemnity and intellectual property will survive the termination of this Agreement. The jurisdiction with competence to resolve disputes is Bucharest.

In cases of force majeure (wars, sabotage, riots, transportation problems, terrorist acts, severe weather, natural disasters, etc.), then delays and lack of performance are accepted. MultiMedia and all its representatives are not liable for any delay caused by the occurrence of such an event.

No breach of any term of this Agreement shall be considered a precedent for any subsequent breach of contract.

These terms of use constitute an agreement between us and you and govern your use of the services provided, superseding any prior agreements between us and you. You may also be subject to additional terms and conditions that may apply when you use affiliated services, content or software of a third party. These terms and the relationship between us and you will be governed by the laws of Romania without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You and we agree to submit, personally and exclusively, to the jurisdiction of the courts located in Romania and taking into account international laws. Our failure to exercise or enforce any right or provision of the Terms of Use shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. If any provision of the Terms of Use is found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, the parties agree that the court should attempt to decide the parties’ intentions as reflected in the agreement, and the other provisions of the Terms of Use shall survive and be enforced. You agree that, regardless of any conflicting statute or law, any claim or cause of action arising out of or relating to your use of the Services or the Terms of Use must be filed within one (1) year, after which such claim or cause of action shall be deemed forever terminated.
