The editorial team of the journal adheres to the principles of ethics and integrity of science, and is committed to publishing only original material, that is, material that has not been published elsewhere, or material that belongs to the author but has been updated. The editorial board uses software to detect cases of similarity in submitted manuscripts. Manuscripts containing plagiarized texts or texts copied without specifying the citation and reference to the original source are rejected and will not be published.

Plagiarism involves a fraudulent copying of the ideas or expressions of another person, violating academic integrity and journalistic ethics, as well as social norms. Plagiarism involves the undeserved increase of the plagiarizing author’s reputation or obtaining academic credits through false claims of authorship. Plagiarism is a serious ethical offense, subject to professional and legal sanctions, in some cases constituting theft and/or a violation of copyright.

Currently, due to the explosive development of artificial intelligence such as ChatGPT, we pay special attention to detecting the possibility that submitted manuscripts have been prepared by using artificial intelligence, in which case the software used to check plagiarism can be easily fooled. We also check for the possibility that the work has been plagiarized by replacing words with synonyms.

There are differences between different academic institutions in the definition of plagiarism, but it is generally considered that plagiarism involves personally attributing the work of another person, taking passages from one’s own previous work without highlighting that it is a quote, rewriting another person’s work without properly citing the source, using quotes without specifying the source of the source.

If plagiarism is detected at any stage before the publication of a manuscript, the author will be warned and, if appropriate, will be asked to either rewrite the text or quote the text exactly and cite the original source.
